India is no newcomer to the Cricket World Cup. With Kapil Dev they have tasted the most romantic spell in their Cricketing History. Greats like Amarnath, Gavaskar, and Bedi have played the gentleman’s game and many have created glory. But to be selected in all time dream team is a brain storming session. The players have to judged on the caliber of their match winning ability, their all round performance to the game and their performance to the team cause.

Though his stat in One Day doesn’t reflect his potential as a match winner but his strike rate of 103 is second best to Afridi. Sehwag is a natural stroke maker and depends heavily on his hand eye coordination. Bowlers always fancy their chances against Sehwag because he plays so many strokes but for Sehwag he fancies his chances against them much more.

Sachin Tendulkar: Automatic choice for any team and in any format of the game. Arguably the greatest batsmen to have played the game. Tendulkar holds just about every batting record worth owning in the game. Sachin is a complete batsman and has all the shorts in the book. Two things that define Sachin as a cricketer is his passion for the game and his adaption to the condition. Sachin Tendulkar is a Master that can Blast anything that comes in his way.

Sourav Ganguly: Once rated as the God of off Side by his Team Mate, Sourav Ganguly the Dada of Indian Cricket Team is a player that has polarized everyone opinion about him. Though Ganguly has percussion in playing the Shot pitch balls, but his ability to play spin bowling is worth watching. Ganguly is a born leader and when combined it with his attitude he always faces mental stiffness with others.

In Indian sub – continent Sourav is a perfect No. 3 though he is most successful with opening the inning but Sehwag has slight advantage over him. Whereas in seaming and bouncy pitches Mohinder Amarnath is far better batsman at that position.
